Every New Year many people have the intent to make New Year’s resolutions. People make New York’s resolutions to impact their life and accomplish goals. What I have learned is that most people that begin their resolution, they NEVER achieved the end of the goal.
From my experience in working with individuals the problem is not having resolutions, but “The How To” carry the task out.
In this post, I will try to help you start a new canvas for a new beginning. It is never too late.
A New Canvas does not need to start on the 1st day of each New Year. We all can have a new beginning anytime of the year. We are all given a second chance to try again. If you are one that needs a new canvas for a new beginning, then hopefully I will be able to assist you.
When your canvas is completed you will have your blueprint in front of you. Just taking time to write on your canvas can be regarded as a success. You have unlimited possibilities if you can believe in your own resolutions.
I have a question for you. When you think about a canvas, what ideas does your mind begin to formulate? Think about this question and be sincere with yourself. It will be the first step of success.
The following are some pitfalls to avoid in your new endeavor in creating a new canvas.
1. Do not allow your mind to take you BACK to the past times of resolutions which you never achieved.
2. Learn the heart lessons from the past and prepared to move on. Do not get stuck in what could of been.
3. Get rid of self-pity and the mindset that you will not resolve again. Think Positive and with Intent that you will accomplish your goals.
4. Get rid of Procrastination. It will kill your dreams and goals. Action means movement. You don’t want to continue to spin your wheels.
If you are serious about starting with a new canvas, I personally create my own mind maps which enable me to use colors. I use crayons, color pencils, permanent markers. Colors add a variety to your canvas and they also provide a burst of energy.
Partner up with someone that will hold you accountable. Accountability is a great tool to help us achieve any journey we embark on. Lean on your friends or spouses. Share your dream and be honest with them. Tell them you are at a starting point.
I promise you something, each time you take a small step to your BIG DREAM, you will have succeeded. Your goals and dreams will validate you. Resolve this day to begin to brand yourself.
A New Canvas For A New Beginning is waiting for you. Start creating your new design.
This is a Call To Action! If you have never started a canvas, this is your day. If in the past you started, but did not complete it, then this is your day as well.
For my next post, I will try to upload a picture of my mind map and will show you how I work on mind maps.
Now over to you my friends…
